After nearly 2 years o̶f̶ ̶t̶o̶r̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶z̶e̶n̶ ̶d̶e̶s̶o̶l̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶r̶t̶h̶ recording we're finally into what's known as 'Post Production'.
After this i'll also be checking over the music for unwanted oral imposters and slinging them out and polishing before getting the album mastered. So far there will be 12½ songs on the new album from a shortlist of 20¾.
Making an album is an artistic endevour and a challenge which i have always enjoyed, crafting songs to flow together to create a coherent feel and flow even with an eclectic range of songs. That being said the process can be very draining and extremely long and labourious.. i think it might be time to shift to making single songs. There is something essential in a song that exists as of itself outside of time, but also when i make music i am aware that it in some way embodies the moment that it was created. So maybe it should be heard in that moment instead of 2 years later..there is no right way but i might try it for a change.
